Production training

Continental, the 4th tyre manufacturer in the world, produces over 70 million tyres a year.

Continental's production process is precise and very technical, requiring a particular set of skills from the operators.

Usually, the training for these highly technical roles is long and, on top of mobilizing a competent trainer, uses the equipment on the production line and thus increases costs (decrease in production time, increase in energy, consumables, etc).

In order to optimize the training and decrease the costs, Continental asked Reviatech for help in setting up a training simulator for one of their process-critical machine.

The results and feedback below were provided by Continental after implementing the simulator:

• 50% drop in time spent on training
• 54% gain in efficiency
• 25% gain in quality
• The simulator is deployed in 7 manufacturing sites around the world and is now part of the training process
